Yup it’s that time! We’ve got a nice balance of large and small ones and some lovely varieties. The apples are looking particularly super. The gourds will now dry over the coming months and will be listed for sale as soon as they are ready. Reservations welcome!
The growing season is upon us and we have some smashing products lined up this year including exciting new plants as well as all the favourites. We haven’t stopped in the time being however as we’ve purchased a super big greenhouse and have been busy preparing that and a workshop. The weather has been, shall […]
We’ve started collecting up some of the smaller gourds this week and have some super new varieties. This one I’m referring to as Doll’s head – they are very small but look brilliant for craft work. Then there are these eggs, which I was expecting to be small, but look very much like they have […]
Well this was a pleasant little surprise yesterday. The stock plants in the greenhouse have come into flower and are smothered with buds. Seems to be the first of a few plants that will flower for the first time this year, with the tea tree showing plenty of promise. Liquorice plants are available in the […]

We have been harvesting the gourds this week which has been a much bigger job than previous years! There are about 700 large, 300 medium and several thousand small ones, all different shapes and varieties. Hopefully some will be dried quite soon, but most will be ready early next year.
Our two year old strawberry guava bushes have flowered and yielded some super little fruits. They do indeed taste and smell of strawberries but are far sweeter, in fact I can’t think of any fruit that is sweeter than these – delicious in small quantities, but too sickly for my taste! I have saved the […]
Well this is very exciting – one of the three year old frangipanis that I held back for myself has produced a central spike that is covered in small buds. The question is – will the weather hold out long enough for it to bloom? If not, I have some tricks up me sleeve – […]
